policy?
Deposit and final payment are non-refundable and
non-transferable.
There will be no refunds for any unused portion of the tour.
Cancellations due to medical reasons can be covered by travel

What is the best way to get
to Madrid?
From Madrid-Barajas you can
take a taxi (~$20 US), the Metro to Nuevos Ministerios & change
accordingly, or take the bus that stops in Colon. From
Colon the hotel is a 5 min taxi ride. TOP
What is the best way to get
to Toledo?
Castilla La
Mancha is well connected by rail and road. It is 71 km south of
Madrid and a quick bus or train ride away.

By Bus: Buses leave
every 30 minutes on the hour from Madrid-Toledo. They leave from the
Estación Sur
de Autobuses on Continental. The ride takes an hour and costs just
over 3 Euros.

By Train: leave
less frequently from Atocha and take about 75 minutes.

By car you can
take the M-40 motorway southwards form the airport (look
for signs towards M-40, direction N-V and N-401). After about 15 km of
driving by the M-40, take the N-401 to Toledo. When approaching
Toledo, look for signs to ``Centro Ciudad'' (city center). You
should find yourself in Calle del Cardenal Tavera (Cardenal Tavera
Street).

What should I wear?
The classes & field trips
are casual and comfortable (you will be on your feet for much of the
cooking classes). But remember that you will need appropriate
dress for dining out and Spaniards typically dress more formally;
casual business attire will suffice.

What should I bring?
Other than your travel documents, travel insurance & clothes,
Quixote's Kitchen will supply you with everything else you need
including local information such as where to shop & eat.

What are the accommodations
like?
Quixote's Kitchen has
created a luxurious setting as the backdrop for your rich gastronomic
adventure.
In Madrid you will stay in
the 1912 5-star hotel in the heart of the city; accommodation of
choice for many celebrities.
In Toledo you will stay in
a former castle, now a deluxe hotel with antique regional furnishings that overlooks Toledo with beautiful panoramic

What are the ages of the
other participants?
The intimate classes are a
group of a wide-range of ages. What is common in the group is a
love for food, adventure and exploration!

When does the class
begin & end?
Classes start at 4PM on
Sunday & end with your check-out on Saturday. The daily schedule
is fairly rigorous so be prepared to learn lots!
You will typically start at
9AM or earlier for the day & end anywhere from 5PM to 8PM.

Can I bring someone who
isn't participating in the classes?
At a lesser fee, all
aspects of the cooking tour are open to non-participants except for
the classes. TOP
What level of cooking
expertise is required?
All aspects of the cooking
route are suitable for beginners as well as experienced cooks.

How large are the classes?
The classes are fairly
intimate to provide you with the greatest enjoyment and learning.
The range in size from 6 -12 participants. Classes will be
cancelled with less than 6 participants.

How many dishes do I learn?
You will learn about 15 -
20 dishes that include tapas, starters, first courses, side plates,
desserts, etc. Plus, you will also have "tasting" sessions to
fully appreciate various hallmarks of Spanish cuisine as well as
specifics to the regional diet.

Are there any additional
costs?
Your accommodation, entry &
transport for all scheduled cooking route activities as well as
breakfast, lunches and most dinners will be included as part of the
cooking route. Travel to and from the route as well as any
additional expenses you may incur as part of trip outside of the
cooking route are not included in the cooking route fees.

If the class is full, can I
put my name on a waiting list?
Yes. However, although
there are occasional cancellations, it is fairly unpredictable.

routes cost?

€3,500 per participant based on double occupancy & Castilla
La Mancha is
€3,000 per participant based on double occupancy.
